Meet the team
Michaela
Director

As Luna Safari’s Managing Director, Michaela founded the company alongside her husband Khalfani in 2018. With a deep love of Africa, which has already spanned over a decade – her aim was to create a tour company with a whole lot of magic.
Originally from the UK but now based in Tanzania, Michaela puts together dream itineraries and adventures, supporting our amazing guests the entire way through their safari journey, She and her partner Khalfani also manage the Luna Foundation, supporting children and families from some of the poorest backgrounds across Tanzania.
Not only will she likely be your first point of contact on enquiry, she’ll also be here in Tanzania for you from the moment you land right up until your last magical moment in the beautiful country that she now calls home.
Small is beautiful and our personal service is something that makes us truly unique – our signature style from the day Luna Safari was born.
Khalfani

Khalfani and Michaela started Luna Safari together and now put so much love into all they do for you. You’ll definitely meet Khalfani here during your stay. He's often spotted at the airport waiting to greet you with a champagne picnic basket upon arrival.
